I am a teacher. I can't spell well or speak correctly. How did I ever become a teacher you ask? Only God. It's a long story. I am an introvert. I think more than I speak. I enjoy being alone, and at home as much as possible. I want to reflect God's love to every person God brings to me. I am married to a wonderful, caring, supportive man. He loves to help others, and is willing to listen and talk to those in need. He loves to garden, and work outside. Cookies are his favorite. We love drinking coffee and eating cookies together. I have a burden for hurting children. I wish all children everywhere, felt love, safety and security, from not only their Heavenly Father, but also from a family that cares more about the needs of their children then their own personal needs. I love looking for small glimpses of God's great love. They are all around us, every day. Have you noticed? Do you know of God's love for you?

security

se·cu·ri·ty

[si-kyoor-i-tee]noun, plural -ties
freedom from care, anxiety, or doubt; well-founded confidence.

in·se·cu·ri·ty

[in-si-kyoor-i-tee]
–noun, plural -ties.
lack of confidence or assurance; self-doubt: He is plagued by insecurity.

What does being secure mean for you? I've been thinking a lot about security lately.
*What makes me insecure?
*What do I base my security on?
*What should I base my security on?
Security is found in God, and in God alone. In order to be secure I must keep my eyes focused on God and His faithful love.
People will let me down. If I put my security in people I will be hurt by them.
Money is unstable
Circumstances are uncertain and sometimes shaky.
God, my Heavenly Father and Friend, the one who has the world in the palm of His hand and yet knows me personally;
He is secure
He will never change
He is faithful
His love is as wide as the sky, as high as the heavens,
and as deep as the seas.
Why would anyone not put their confidence and security in God??

the following was taken from an article on-line

God is saying... Trust in me.

"I am unfathomable, faithful from the first to the last. My love for you is so wide, so deep, so all-encompassing that you cannot imagine. I reach out to you with all my heart. I love you, my child.
"Whatever you do, however bad you feel, even if you shun me and turn your back on me, I will always love you. Even if you have done the most dreadful things, I still love you. I am the way, the truth and the life. I am the love that you seek. The love to heal your wounds, to bind up your inner hurts.
"Be encouraged - you are not alone. I am always with you. I knew you before you were born, when you were formed in your mother's womb. I know every step of your life, every minute, every second.
"Turn to me and I will comfort you. You cannot hide from me like you hide from other people. I see into your heart, and I understand. I know about your insecurity. Do not worry that I know this; be reassured, because I love you and want the best for you. I am here.
"I will not harm you - I came to set you free, free in your heart, free in your spirit. I yearn to bring you into my Kingdom, into my peace. Turn to me, let me in, and I will begin to heal you. There is no outer shell that you can wear that I cannot love through. Be at peace. Do not be afraid. I love you. I AM."

Isaiah 55

WOW!  My heart has been overwhelmed by the things God has been showing me.  He's been showing me so often that He has a plan! When I am surrendered to His plan and His will for my life, He will work things out for my good and His glory. I am just amazed by His leading and His peace that He has given me. It's just amazing!!!  TRUST* LOVE* FAITHFULNESS*

Grandma

My Grandpa recited this poem to my Grandma
about 30 min before she died.

Should You Go First
By A.K. Rowswell

Should you go first and I remain

To walk the road alone,
I'll live in memory's garden, dear,
With happy days we've known.
In spring I'll wait for roses red,
When fades the lilac blue,
In early fall, when brown leaves call
I'll catch a glimpse of you.

Should you go first and I remain
For battles to be fought,
Each thing you've touched along the way
Will be a hallowed spot.
I'll hear your voice, I'll see you smile,
Though blindly I may grope,
The memory of your helping hand
Will buoy me on with hope.

Should you go first and I remain
To finish with the scroll,
No length'ning shadows shall creep in
To make this life seem droll.
We've known so much of happiness,
We've had our cup of joy,
And memory is one gift of God
That death can not destroy.

Should you go first and I remain,
One thing I'd have you to do:
Walk slowly down that long, lone path,
For soon I'll follow you.
I'll want to know each step you take,
That I may walk the same,
For someday down that lonely road
You'll hear me call your name.

For some reason this post is over to the side too far, and I
can't figure it out....

stand in the rain

she never slows down
she doesn't know why but she knows that when she's all alone
feels like it's all coming down

she won't turn around
the shadows are long and she fears if she cries that first tear
the tears will not stop raining down

so stand in the rain
stand your ground
stand up when it's all crashing down

you stand through the pain you won't drown
and one day what's lost can be found
you stand in the rain

leaving memories etched in stone that last forever.

God Chose Me!

I could have been born to a tribe in Africa.
I could be living on the streets of Chicago.
I could have been raised in the jungles of Asia.
But I wasn't...
Is it fair? No!
It's not fair that I was raised in rich America.
It's not fair that I have a loving, functional family.
And it's definitely not fair that I KNOW of JESUS love!
But I do...
He chose me!!
He chose to tell ME of His love!
He chose to tell ME of the relationship He wants with ME.
He chose to give ME His grace, His peace, and His strength.
I have it!!
Am I worthy? No!

But God chose me anyway!!!
